Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra’s strong form continues. 24-year-old Neeraj, who won gold in Tokyo Olympics, broke his own national record for the second time in 20 days. Neeraj has started the Diamond League organized in Stockholm in a tremendous way. He covered a distance of 89.94 meters in his first attempt of javelin throw on Thursday.

With this throw, Neeraj shattered his own national record of 89.30 meters set at the Pavo Nurmi Games this month. Neeraj’s throw meet record was also set, although he broke it with Grenada’s Anderson Peters (90.31m) in the third attempt.

It is worth noting that Neeraj is participating in the Diamond League Meet for the first time after 2018. He then finished fourth last time with a throw of 85.73. He has participated in the Diamond League Meet seven times so far, but has not won a single medal till date. He has finished fourth twice.
