The Grammy Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the music industry and are highly coveted by musicians around the world. Every year, the Recording Academy celebrates the best of the best in music, and the 64th Annual Grammy Awards 2022 is no different. This year, several famous Indians have been awarded the prestigious Grammy Awards, including Ar Rahman and Sonu Nigam. 64th Annual Grammy Awards 2022

The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on January 31, 2022 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event will be hosted by Trevor Noah, and will feature performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Adele, Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and many more. The Recording Academy will also be honoring several Indian musicians with the prestigious Grammy Awards.

Famous Indians Who Have Won Grammy Awards

Over the years, several Indian musicians have been awarded the Grammy Awards for their outstanding contributions to the music industry. From classical music to Bollywood, these talented musicians have earned their place in the history books. Notable Indian Grammy Award winners include AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam, and Shankar Mahadevan.

Ar Rahman and Sonu Nigam

AR Rahman is one of the most successful Indian musicians of all time. He won two Grammy Awards in 2009 for his work on the soundtrack of the movie Slumdog Millionaire. He also won a third Grammy in 2010 for his album Vande Mataram. Sonu Nigam also won a Grammy Award in 2008 for his performance of the song “Jai Ho” from Slumdog Millionaire.

Their Grammy Award-Winning Songs

AR Rahman’s Grammy Award-winning song from Slumdog Millionaire is “Jai Ho”, which was also performed by Sonu Nigam. The song was written by Gulzar and composed by AR Rahman. It was released as a single in 2008 and was a huge success, winning both the Academy Award and the Grammy Award. Sonu Nigam’s Grammy Award-winning song is also “Jai Ho”, which he performed with AR Rahman.
