Nabards Loan Increased By 25 2 Percent To Rs 6 Lakh Crore In The Financial Year 2020 21

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has announced a 25% increase in its loan allocation for the financial year 2020-21. This brings the total loan amount to Rs 6 lakh crore, a significant jump from the previous year. This increase in loan allocations is expected to benefit rural areas and help promote economic development in these areas.

NABARD Loan Increase

NABARD is the apex development finance institution in India, which was established in 1982 by an act of Parliament. It has been mandated to provide credit, promote investment and support other developmental activities in the rural areas. NABARD’s loan portfolio has been steadily increasing over the years, with the total loan amount reaching Rs 4.75 lakh crore in 2019-20.

25% Jump in 2020-21

In the financial year 2020-21, NABARD has increased its loan allocation by 25%, to Rs 6 lakh crore. This is the highest ever loan allocation in the history of the bank. The increase in loan allocation is expected to benefit rural areas and promote economic development in these areas.

Financial Year Overview

The financial year 2020-21 has seen a number of positive developments in the rural sector.
