Tata Motors has recently launched the Altroz Dual Clutch Automatic (DCA) in India. The car is a premium hatchback from the stables of the Indian car manufacturer and is set to compete with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno. It is the first dual-clutch transmission from Tata Motors and is available in both petrol and diesel fuel variants. Price and Features
The Tata Altroz Dual Clutch Automatic is available in three trim levels – XM, XZ and XZ (O). The petrol version of the car is priced between Rs 7.74 lakh and Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The diesel variant is priced between Rs 8.95 lakh and Rs 9.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The car is equipped with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and cruise control. It also comes with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and an ISOFIX child seat anchor.
Design
The Tata Altroz Dual Clutch Automatic has a modern, contemporary design. It has a bold front grille with a honeycomb pattern, and a sleek headlamp cluster with projector headlamps and LED DRLs. The car also has a muscular bonnet, a sculpted bumper, and a sculpted rear bumper. It is available in five colour options – High Street Gold, Downtown Red, Skyline Silver, Midtown Grey, and Avenue White.
Performance
The Tata Altroz Dual Clutch Automatic is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces a maximum power of 110PS and a peak torque of 140Nm. The diesel variant is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine that produces a maximum power of 90PS and a peak torque of 200Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
