Ramadan is an important month in the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims across the world. Every year, Muslims observe the holy month of Ramadan, which is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and abstain from eating and drinking for the entire day. This year, Ramadan is expected to begin on April 5th and end on May 4th. In this article, we will discuss the timings of Sehri and Iftar on 5th and 6th April and the benefits of fasting during Ramadan.

What is Ramadan?

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, which is observed by Muslims worldwide. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk and abstain from eating and drinking for the entire day. The fasting period is known as Sawm, which is one of the five pillars of Islam. This month is considered to be the holiest month of the year because it is believed to be the month in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

Ramadan 2022: 5th and 6th April

Ramadan 2022 is expected to begin on April 5th and end on May 4th. During this month, Muslims will observe a period of fasting from dawn to dusk and abstain from eating and drinking for the entire day. During this period, Muslims will also engage in prayer and spiritual reflection.

What is Sehri and Iftar?

Sehri is the meal that is eaten before sunrise during the fasting period of Ramadan. It is generally eaten before dawn and is typically a light meal. On the other hand, Iftar is the meal that is eaten after sunset during the fasting period of Ramadan. This meal is usually a large and lavish meal that is shared with family and friends.

Timings of Sehri and Iftar on 5th and 6th April

On 5th April, Sehri will begin at 3:33 am and Iftar will begin at 6:44 pm. On 6th April, Sehri will begin at 3:34 am and Iftar will begin at 6:45 pm.

Benefits of Fasting During Ramadan

Fasting during Ramadan has many physical and mental benefits. Physically, it helps to reduce weight, improve digestion, and lower cholesterol. Mentally, it helps to reduce stress, improve concentration, and promote a sense of calmness. Additionally, fasting during Ramadan teaches self-discipline and self-control.
