GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) is an all-India entrance examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is one of the most prestigious entrance examinations in India, and is a gateway to admission into various post-graduate programs in engineering and technology. The exam pattern and syllabus of GATE are constantly evolving to keep up with the changing trends in the engineering and technology sector. Overview of GATE Exam

GATE is an all-India entrance exam conducted for admission into post-graduate programs in engineering and technology. It is conducted jointly by the IISc and seven IITs. The exam is conducted in two sessions, i.e. the morning session and the afternoon session. The exam is conducted in multiple-choice format, and the questions are based on various engineering and technology topics.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The exam pattern and syllabus of GATE are constantly evolving to keep up with the changing trends in the engineering and technology sector. The syllabus for GATE is divided into three sections: General Aptitude, Engineering Mathematics, and the Core Subject. The General Aptitude section consists of 10 questions, the Engineering Mathematics section consists of 15 questions, and the Core Subject section consists of 70 questions. The topics covered in the exam include programming, data structures, algorithms, computer architecture, digital logic, operating systems, computer networks, databases, software engineering, and web technologies.

Format of GATE Exam

The GATE exam is conducted in two sessions, i.e. the morning session and the afternoon session. The morning session consists of 65 multiple-choice questions and the afternoon session consists of 25 multiple-choice questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and the total number of marks is 100. The questions are divided into two parts, i.e. the General Aptitude section and the Core Subject section. The General Aptitude section consists of 10 questions and the Core Subject section consists of 70 questions.
