Toyota Hilux is to be launched in the Indian market on January 20 and before that the company has released a teaser of it, in which its front part can be seen. The company has put its teaser on its website. The delivery of this model is going to start from March, this lifestyle truck can be booked by paying Rs 1 lakh.
In the new teaser of Toyota Hilux, its headlights can be seen on both sides. The grille is surrounded by a black bezel and a chrome stripe has been placed in the middle, due to which it looks very attractive. Along with its teaser, the company has written that get ready for a rich life, it will be made on the company’s IMV-2 platform, it will be produced in India only.
Through this, the company wants to cater to the customers of a particular segment of lifestyle, which has not become as popular yet, but is getting decent customers. The Toyota Hilux is going to be a 5-seater vehicle that will be usable both in the city and off-road. The company is going to make it available only in the option of diesel engine.
The Toyota Hilux has a large and hexagonal front grille and LED projector headlights on both the sides, due to which it looks strong on the road. It has been given plastic cladding around the wheel arches, along with alloy wheels, whose design has been kept similar to the Fortuner. It gets vertical tail light and double cab style.
Its interiors have not been seen but the current generation Fortuner inspired black theme, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, push start/stop button, JBL system and leather upholstery can be seen. It even gets cruise control, additional airbags and a power-adjustable driver seat. It is reported that it comes with A-TRAC features, which means Active Traction Control.
Toyota has increased the wheelbase of the Hilux to 3,085 mm. It measures 5,325 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,865 mm in height. The ground clearance of the Hilux is 216mm and it also weighs 2.1 tonnes. The company is going to make it available only in the option of diesel engine, it will be given five color options which include Emotional Red, Gray Metallic, White Pearl CS, Silver Metallic and Super White.
It will be given a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km, which can be extended to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km. For its service, the company’s 342 service outlets across the country can be used. The company says that this will be an entirely new segment, which will be aimed at customers who want to enjoy 4×4 adventure. The company is going to manufacture it in its own plant in India, it is going to be completely a Made in India product.
Its name is a combination of high and luxury, which was first launched in 1968. Till now its 8 generations have been brought and in the last 50 years it has been improved many times. It is currently sold in 180 countries of the world and 20 million units have been sold so far. Now it has to be seen how the company’s car gets response in the Indian market.
