Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Tuesday that the top priority of his government is to provide good governance to the common man and make them accessible to all the services of government departments sitting at home using information technology. Gehlot instructed the officers that all the departments should share the information of all their schemes and programs on the public information portal by October 2 this year.

He said that Rajasthan would be the first state to take such initiative for transparency and good governance using Information Technology (IT). Chief Minister Gehlot was addressing the review meeting of the Department of Information Technology and Communications on Tuesday evening.

Instructions to encourage startups at school level

The Chief Minister said that in order to promote entrepreneurship among the youth and students of rural areas, incubation centers should be set up at the educational division level and startup activities should be encouraged at the school level. The Chief Minister said that the people complaining on the 181 helpline should be satisfied in a better way. He said that in this, a strong system of monitoring should be ensured at various levels.

Gehlot said that the Department of Information Technology has played an important role in COVID management during the COVID-19 pandemic. Chief Secretary Niranjan Arya said that the use of information technology is becoming important to take good governance to the grassroots level.
