Kerala has the highest number of corona cases
On Thursday, 22,040 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Kerala, while 117 patients died due to infection. The total number of infected in Kerala has increased to 34.93 lakh while the death toll has reached 17,328. So far 32,97,834 people have been cured and at present 1,77,924 patients are under treatment. The infection rate in Kerala was recorded at 13.49 percent.
Total cases of corona infection
Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of three crore 18 lakh 56 thousand people have been infected. Out of these, 4 lakh 26 thousand 754 people have died. The good thing is that 3 crore 10 lakh 15 thousand people have also been cured. The number of corona active cases in the country is still more than four lakhs. So far about 50 crore vaccine doses have been given.
According to the Ministry of Health, till August 5, 49 crore 53 lakh corona vaccine doses have been given across the country. 57.97 lakh vaccines were administered on the last day. At the same time, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 47 crore 65 lakh corona tests have been done so far. About 16.40 lakh corona sample tests were done on the last day, whose positivity rate is less than 3 percent.
The death rate from corona in the country is 1.34 percent while the recovery rate is more than 97 percent. Active cases are 1.29%. India is now at eighth place in the world in terms of corona active cases. India is at number two in terms of total number of infected. Whereas after America, Brazil has the highest number of deaths in India.
