Thiruvananthapuram: Relaxation in lockdown restrictions will start in Kerala from today. Now shops selling essential goods will be able to open every day from 7 am to 7 pm. Restrictions have been eased in the state based on the average weekly test infection rate in local self-government bodies. Now activities in industrial and agricultural sectors will be allowed in all local bodies. Transport will be provided to workers in these areas. The government imposed a lockdown from May 8.
50 percent of the staff will come to the secretariat staff
Central and state government offices, public sector undertakings, government companies, commissions, corporations and autonomous institutions will be allowed to operate with 25 per cent staff. At the same time, work will be done in the secretariat with 50 percent employees.
- Complete lockdown will be in force in the state during the weekend. Public transport will be allowed on a limited basis and banks will continue to function only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- The number of wedding and funeral attendees will be limited to 20. No social functions or public events will be allowed.
- Restaurants will be allowed to deliver home delivery and packed food only.
13,270 new cases of corona reported in the state
Let us inform that 13,270 new cases of Covid-19 came in Kerala in the last 24 hours, after which the total number of infected people has increased to 27,61,474. At the same time, with the death of 147 people in this period, the total number of people who lost their lives in the state due to the epidemic has increased to 11,655. In this period, 15,689 patients have become infection free, taking the total number of people who beat the epidemic in the state to 26,39,593. At present, 1,09,794 patients are under treatment in the state.
