Shimla: Himachal Pradesh witnessed several major accidents due to land slides and stone breaking in the past. On Friday, a major accident was averted on NH-707 in Sirmaur. A private bus went uncontrollably towards the ditch near Bohrad Khad in Shillai of Sirmaur. In which the lives of 30 passengers were saved due to the driver’s understanding in time.
Driver showed courage
In fact, a private bus going on National Highway-707, due to loss of balance due to breaking of the steering rod, hanged down from the road towards the ditch. During which the bus driver boldly and intelligently pressed the brakes of the bus until all the passengers got off. After this, the cleaner and driver of the bus were also saved with the help of the passengers.
Bus uncontrolled due to breaking of steering rod
It is being told that a private bus was going from Paonta Sahib towards Shillai in Sirmaur district. At the same time, about 10 km before Kafota, due to the breakdown of the steering rod, the bus went uncontrollably towards the ditch. During which the driver applied the brakes and hung in the air towards the ditch.
At present, there is no news of any casualty in the accident. Passengers say that the bus driver showed courage and pressed the brakes till all the passengers got off safely. After which both the cleaner and the driver of the bus were saved with the help of the passengers.
