IND Vs ENG: England’s team is in dire straits after the defeat in the Lord’s Test. England has made many changes in the team for the third test. Openers Sibley and Crowley have been shown the way out of the team. Not only this, after three years, David Malan has returned to the Test team. It is clear from all these changes that England’s batting lineup will be completely changed in the Test starting from August 25.
The England team has kept faith in Burns. Burns is currently the team’s first choice opener. Haseeb Hameed may not have been successful in the Lord’s Test. But in the third Test, Hameed will get a chance to open again. Hameed had to bat at number three at Lord’s due to Sibble being a part of the playing 11.
The England team is going to make changes even at number three. David Malan, who has been in excellent form in domestic cricket for the last few years, is set to play in the third Test. England will field Malan to bat at number three. Captain Joe Root, who is running in excellent form, will continue to play at number four as before.
Ollie Pope will return
Bairstow has not played any big innings in two Tests. But after Root, he is the only batsman who has been able to perform a little better in front of the bowlers of Team India. Bairstow will remain at number five. England will change at number 6. Ollie Pope is now fully fit and will be seen batting at No.
The England team will continue to give a chance to Jos Buttler, who is struggling with poor form. Butler will bat at number seven. At present, England does not have any good all-rounder, so Moeen Ali can be successful in saving a place in the team as an all-rounder. In the third test, Moeen Ali will be seen batting at number 8 instead of number seven.
