IND Vs ENG: The Test match being played between India and England at Lord’s has reached a very exciting position. On the third day of the match, hosts England made a strong comeback. England managed to take a 27-run lead in the first innings instead of Joe Root’s 180. Now on the fourth day, India will play in the second innings.

India had scored 364 runs in the first innings. In response to India’s score, England had lost three important wickets for 119 runs till the end of the second day’s play. But Joe Root once again showed why he loves batting against India.

In the first session of the third day, Joe Root started moving the innings along with Jonny Bairstow. The first session of the third day was very good for England and they added 97 runs without losing a wicket. After the lunch break, Bairstow could not extend his innings for long and was dismissed for 57 runs in 107 balls with the help of seven fours.

Siraj made a comeback

After some time, wicketkeeper batsman Jos Buttler was bowled by Ishant and sent to the pavilion. Butler scored 23 runs in 42 balls with the help of four fours. After the tea break, while Root continued to carry on his innings on one side, the Indian bowlers kept on dropping England’s wickets from the other end. At one time England was moving towards a big lead but Siraj and Ishant brought India back by dropping the wickets of the hosts.

Moeen Ali, who was playing the root well, was dismissed by Ishant. Moeen scored 27 runs in 72 balls with the help of four fours. On its second ball itself, Ishant dismissed Sam Karen (0). Then Siraj gave the hosts the eighth blow by dismissing Ollie Robinson (6). Then Mark Wood (5) was run out. After this James Anderson was dismissed as the last batsman without opening the account.

For India, Mohammad Siraj took four wickets, Ishant Sharma took three wickets and Mohammed Shami took two wickets. Now on the fourth day, India will start its second innings.
