IND vs WI 3rd T20I: India won the third match of the five-match T20I series against West Indies by 7 wickets. With this, Team India has taken a 2-1 lead in this series. India achieved the target of 165 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 19 overs thanks to the brilliant half-century innings of Suryakumar Yadav.

The last two matches of the series will now be played on August 6 and 7 in Florida, USA. Earlier, India won the first match of the series by 68 runs and in the second match West Indies defeated the Indian team by 5 wickets.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss in this match and decided to bowl first. Playing first, West Indies scored 164 runs for five wickets. Kyle Myers played the highest innings of 73 runs for West Indies. Captain Nicholas Pooran and power hitter Rovman Powell scored 23-23. Shimron Hetmyer finally played an important innings of 20 runs in 12 balls and took the team’s score past 160.

Avesh Khan looted runs

Bhuvneshwar Kumar took two wickets for 35 runs for India. Apart from them, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh got 1-1 success. Avesh Khan proved to be more expensive here as in the second match and he conceded 47 runs in 3 overs. Chasing the target of 165 runs, the Indian team had a good start.

Captain Rohit Sharma was seen in good touch with his fellow opener Suryakumar Yadav. He had scored 11 runs in 5 balls and after the fourth ball of the second over, he was seen struggling with a back problem.

After this, captain Rohit retired hurt and returned to the pavilion and then Shreyas Iyer took over the innings with Surya. Both shared a partnership of 86 runs. After this, Iyer returned to the pavilion after scoring 24 runs in 27 balls. Suryakumar Yadav completed his fifty off 26 balls and stood holding one end.

Rishabh Pant also made an important contribution by scoring 33 not out. Suryakumar Yadav played a brilliant innings of 76 runs in 44 balls to take India to an easy victory. Till now his bat was silent throughout this tour and everyone was waiting for one such innings to come out of his bat.
