Independence Day 2021: PM Modi reiterates his resolve to give reservation to Dalits and OBCs, know what he said

Independence Day 2021: Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of 75th year of India’s independence, PM Modi remembered the great men. Also reiterated the resolution to give reservation to Dalits, STs, Backward Classes. PM Modi said that it is necessary to hold the hands of the deprived communities. Reservation is being ensured for the poor of Dalits, ST, backward classes, general category.

Recently OBC Reservation Amendment Bill has been passed by Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Modi government has given the state governments the power to include castes in the OBCs. Now all the state governments will be able to make the list of OBC. Till now the list of OBC is different for the center and the state.

“This generation can achieve every goal”
Referring to the complete faith in the youth of the country on the occasion of Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is the ‘can do, can do’ generation that can achieve every goal. Modi said, “This is the generation which believes in doing and can achieve every goal. They have full faith in the sisters and daughters of the country, farmers and professionals.”

The Prime Minister said that no barrier has the power to stop India’s dreams and aspirations of the 21st century. Our strength is our energy, our strength is our solidarity. Our life force is the spirit of nation first. To fulfill the resolve taken by the country, every person will have to come together and adopt them.
