Independence Day 2021: Railways on high alert before 75th Independence Day, RPF checking on Siliguri

Kolkata: The country will celebrate its 75th Independence Day tomorrow on the occasion of 15th August, due to which security arrangements have been made in many states. Railways have been put on high alert to prevent any untoward incident. In view of this, Railway Protection Force (RPF) has been put on high alert at all railway stations of Siliguri in West Bengal.

Railways on high alert

In fact, in the recent days, after the blast in the parcel at Darbhanga station in Bihar, the Railways has been put on high alert on the occasion of Independence Day. Along with this, the railways has increased the security arrangements at sensitive railway stations in many states. In view of this, before the 75th Independence Day, Railway Protection Force has been put on high alert at all railway stations of Siliguri.

 

 

Security of Siliguri Railway Station increased

The soldiers posted in the security of the railway stations of Siliguri are constantly checking the goods of passengers coming and going. At the same time, the security system of railway stations is being checked through sniffer dogs. Regarding this, RPF officer Sanjeev Saha says that ‘We are ready to deal with any threat. I appeal to the passengers not to panic, but to be alert.

Parcel service closed in Delhi till August 15

At present, in view of the blast in Bihar, the railways have put the railway stations of the capital Delhi on high alert. Along with this, the parcel facility in Delhi has been closed till August 15. Along with keeping the RPF on high alert, the Railways has directed the employees of other departments to be alert as well, who are involved in the maintenance of the train.

Along with instructing the employees, the Railways has said that the train should be checked with utmost vigilance before taking it from the platform to the yard and only after locking the train should be allowed to enter the yard. Along with this, it has also been said to look after the trains parked in the yard. At the same time, instructions have been given to check every type of vehicle parked in the parking lot outside the stations.
