India Coronavirus Updates: 38,353 new corona cases came in 24 hours, lowest active after 140 days

According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday morning, 38,353 new corona cases came in the last 24 hours and 497 infected people have lost their lives. At the same time, 40013 people have also been cured of corona in the last 24 hours across the country, that is, there has been a decrease of 2,157 in active cases. At present, the total number of active patients in the country is 3,86,351, which is the lowest in the last 140 days. At the same time, the recovery rate has increased to 97.45%.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, a total of three crore 20 lakh 36 thousand people have been infected. Out of these, 4 lakh 29 thousand 197 people have died. The good thing is that so far 3 crore 12 lakh 20 thousand people have also been cured. The number of corona active cases in the country is now less than four lakhs. A total of 3 lakh 86 thousand people are still infected with the corona virus, who are undergoing treatment.

Kerala has the highest number of corona cases

On Tuesday, 21,119 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Kerala, after which the number of infected in the state increased to 35,86,693. The infection rate in the state has reached close to 16 percent. In the last one day, 152 people have died due to the epidemic, with which the death toll in the state has increased to 18004. Since Monday, 18493 people have become infection free, after which the number of people recovering from Kovid-19 in the state has increased to 33,96,184.

More than 50 percent of the total cases in a week came from Kerala.
More than half of the total cases of Covid-19 reported in the country in the last seven days have been found in Kerala. In the last two weeks, the number of daily new cases of Covid-19 is increasing in 37 districts of nine states of the country. These include 11 districts of Kerala and seven districts of Tamil Nadu.

The weekly infection rate is more than 10 percent in 44 districts of 11 states and union territories across the country. He said that 51.51 percent of the total cases of Covid-19 infection reported in India in the last seven days were registered in Kerala. Five states—Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh—have more than one reproduction number (R-number) indicating the spread of COVID-19.

About 52 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccine were given in the country
So far, about 52 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been given to people in the country. According to the interim report till 7 pm, more than 37 lakh (37,76,765) doses of vaccine were given on Tuesday. Of these, 20,47,733 people in the age group of 18 to 44 were given the first dose and 4,05,719 people were given the second dose.

The ministry said that in the third phase of the vaccination campaign, people in the age group of 18 to 44 years are being vaccinated. So far, 18,20,95,467 people of this age group have been given the first dose and 1,29,39,239 people have been given the second dose in the country. The ministry said that in five states – Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh – people in the age group of 18 to 44 have been given more than one crore doses of the vaccine.
