Jaguar Introduced F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 SUV, equipped with great features

Jaguar has introduced the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 SUV. It has been designed by the designers of Jaguar SV Bespoke. Inspired by the brand’s racing heritage, the new special edition F-Pace, the XJR-9, is introduced as a tribute to winning the coveted Le Mans 24 Hours in 1988. Worldwide the F-Pace SVR version would be made available for sale for only 394 units as of 1998.

The F-Pace SVR Edition is similar in design to the standard 1988 F-Pace but with some new additions to the exterior. The new design elements include midnight amethyst gloss paintwork, champagne gold satin 22-inch alloy wheels and sunset gold accents. The tailgate of this SUV sports a Golden Jaguar badge along with the Version 1988 logo on the side panels.

The limited edition SUV gets several black pack elements as standard such as the letter R on the SVR badging and the door mirror caps are painted in gloss black. The new Midnight Amethyst Gloss paintwork, on the other hand, will only be offered to the F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 customers.

The F-Pace Edition 1988 features a luxurious cabin with semi-aniline ebony leather upholstery, open-pore carbon fiber finishers, sunset gold satin around the dashboard, steering wheel spokes, gear shift pedals and ventilated front seats. It is equipped with the latest connectivity technologies like Piwi Pro infotainment system, heads-up display and smartphone charging pad, Amazon Alexa integration, etc.

The F-Pace SVR comes with two drive modes – Comfort and Dynamic. Throttle mapping, gear shift point, steering adjustment and suspension settings can be changed by selecting the mode. In Dynamic mode, the driver can change the stopwatch, g-meter and pedal graph, while Adaptive Dynamics strives to provide more comfort depending on the road and driving conditions.

The cabin has also been updated and now gets more upmarket treatment. The leather interior has been given in the SUV, in which many types of detailing have also been done. It also gets a leather-covered steering wheel with red stitching, an 11.4-inch HD touchscreen with wireless charger and new Pivi Pro infotainment system.

The F-Pace Edition is powered by the 1988 standard model’s 5-litre, supercharged V8 engine that churns out 542 Bhp of power. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. According to Jaguar, the F-Pace can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4 seconds and has a top speed of 286 kmph.

The SUV gets Jaguar’s All Wheel Drive (AWD) with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics that has been made available on the SUV as a standard feature. Currently, the F-Pace SVR is available in India in standard model with prices starting at Rs 1.51 Cr, ex-showroom.
