Kerala: Kerala is currently the most affected state by Covid-19. Due to the increasing cases of Covid, the Kerala government has announced some changes in the guidelines of Covid-19 here. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Saturday that only those people who have got both doses of the vaccine will be allowed to come to hotels, restaurants and bars in the state. Also, people working in all hotels, restaurants and bars in the state should also have both doses of the vaccine. However, at present, the vaccine is not available for those below the age of 18 years, so this rule will not apply to them.
Also, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told that all hotels, restaurants and bars in the state can operate with 50 percent capacity. But during this time AC will not be allowed to run in these places and it will be mandatory to keep windows and doors open for ventilation. Apart from this, indoor stadiums and swimming pools have also been allowed to open in the state. However, it will be mandatory to have both doses of the vaccine to come here.
91 percent of the population in Kerala has received the first dose
Let us tell you that at least one dose of Covid vaccine has been administered to about 91 percent of the population in Kerala. The state government had earlier banned the movement of people without applying at least one dose of the vaccine or without a negative report of RT-PCR. This order has now been withdrawn. Also, the government has already announced last week to reopen schools in the state. Here schools will be opened again from November 1. For which guidelines have also been issued.
State Health Minister Veena George said, “91.3% of the state’s population above 18 years have been given the first dose of the Covid vaccine, while about 39 percent of the population has been given both doses.”
