Mumbai: Maharashtra government has further relaxed the restrictions related to corona virus in 25 districts with low infection rate. Along with this, the opening hours of shops have been extended. Permission has also been given to operate shopping malls in these districts. It has been said in the order of the government that all government and private offices will also work with full capacity.
It has been said in the order that these relaxations will be effective from the morning of Tuesday (from today). The state government is yet to take any decision on allowing common man’s travel in Mumbai’s local trains.
Shops in all these districts will now be able to open till 8 pm instead of 4 pm and till 3 pm on Saturdays. It has been said in the order that shops of non-essential goods will remain closed on Sundays. The Maharashtra government has given permission to open and operate shopping malls as per the new guidelines.
4,869 new cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra, 90 patients died
4,869 new patients of Covid-19 were reported in Maharashtra on Monday while 90 patients died. According to the state health department, after the new cases, the total number of infected people in the state increased to 63,15,063 while the death toll due to the pandemic increased to 1,33,038.
According to the department, so far 61,03,325 patients have recovered from the infection in the state while 75,303 patients are currently under treatment. The recovery rate in the state is 96.65 percent and the death rate is 2.1 percent.
