Addressing an event in Jammu, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, “People are definitely worried about the law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir. We want to assure you that after two years you will not get to see terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India is working in this direction.

Union Home Secretary reviews security situation in Jammu and Kashmir
At the same time, yesterday, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla reviewed the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in view of the killing of civilians in several encounters and terrorist attacks. Top officials of Jammu and Kashmir Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Border Security Force (BSF) attended the meeting, held for about an hour. An official said that the Home Secretary was apprised of the prevailing law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Terror in Jammu and Kashmir
In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces killed two terrorists in an operation in Gopalpura on Wednesday. Apart from this, two associates of terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba were apprehended in Pulwama on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a controversy has also started regarding the encounter that took place in Srinagar on Monday. The families of the two people killed in the encounter rejected the police allegation that they were “accomplices” of the terrorists. Last month, a female headmaster and a teacher were murdered in Srinagar.
Terrorist groups recruited 117 terrorists in 2021
Sources in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) said that a total of 117 terrorists have been recruited by terrorist organizations in Jammu and Kashmir in 2021 so far. He said that these terrorists were hired by terrorist organizations operating in Jammu and Kashmir. Force officials said that a total of 48 battalions of CRPF have been deployed in Jammu and Kashmir so far. Out of this, 22 battalions have been specially deployed for Srinagar while 22 for the rest of Kashmir. He also said that the process of deployment of additional five companies in J&K is underway and it will be completed soon in a few days.
