Monsoon session of UP assembly will start from today, population control bill may be introduced in the house

Lucknow: Monsoon session of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is starting from today. This session will continue till August 24. In this session, the Yogi government of the state is going to bring the Population Control Bill. Earlier, the chairman of the State Law Commission, Justice AN Mittal, has submitted the prepared report on the population control law to the government. The Law Commission has prepared the final draft of the bill related to the proposed population control law.

The final draft of the Population Control Bill has also recommended depriving parents of more than two children from contesting local body elections and other facilities.

Suggestions from various sections have also been included in this 260-page report prepared by the Law Commission. AN Mittal said that about 850 suggestions were received from the country and abroad, out of which whatever were legal and valid suggestions have been included in this draft.

He told that it has been recommended to the government that this bill should be implemented one year after it was passed in the Legislative Assembly so that women who are still pregnant do not have to destroy their pregnancy due to this.

Apart from this, the opposition party will try to surround the government on different issues including inflation, law and order. There may also be a demonstration of opposition parties before the start of the session.

In this session, on the one hand, the Yogi government will try to pass as many bills as possible, while on the other hand, the opposition will try to surround the government and get it done in the house.
