Narayanpur: Naxalite attack has taken place in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh in which two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) soldiers have been martyred. Police officials of Naxal-affected Narayanpur district said on Friday that Maoists attacked security personnel near Kademeta camp of ITBP under Chhotedongar police station area of the district. Assistant Commandant Sudhakar Shinde and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Gurmukh Singh have been martyred in this attack.
Police officials said that around 12:10 pm ITBP The E company of the 45th Battalion was sent on patrol. He said that the Maoists started firing when the team personnel were at a distance of 600 meters from the camp.
Shinde and Singh were martyred in the attack. After the attack, the Maoists took away an AK-47, two bullet proof jackets and a wireless set, officials said. He said that after getting information about the incident, additional security forces have been dispatched to the spot and search has been started for the attacking Maoists.
