Was out of Australia Open due to non-availability of Covid-19 vaccine

Djokovic missed the Australian Open earlier this year due to lack of vaccination. He was stopped by the police in Australia amid controversies. After spending a day in Australia, Djokovic was ordered to leave the country. In addition he had to miss out on several important tournaments in North America.

This year he participated in the French Open where he lost to Rafael Nadal in the quarterfinals. He then participated in Wimbledon and won the title.

Djokovic’s Unmatched Career

The 35-year-old Serbian Djokovic has won 21 Grand Slam tournaments in his career so far. He has won the US Open title three times so far. He has won titles in the last Grand Slam of the year in 2011, 2015 and 2018. Djokovic has also been the runner-up at the US Open six times.
