New Delhi: There is good news for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. On August 9, PM Modi will send Rs 19,000 to 9 crore farmers across the country under PM Kisan Yojana. Two rupees will come in the bank account of every farmer. Under PM Kisan Yojana, the government transfers Rs 6000 every year in three installments to the bank accounts of farmers. So far 8 installments have been sent to the farmers. Now the 9th installment will be released.
Earlier, the 8th installment was paid on 14 May. Last year, the last installment of PM Kisan Yojana was paid on Christmas i.e. on 25 December 2020. The Bengal government led by Mamata Banerjee had earlier opposed the implementation of this scheme, but joined the scheme last time.
What is PM Kisan Yojana
Under PM-Kisan, the government provides annual income support of 6000 to the farmers. The money is paid out in three cash transfers equal to Rs 2,000, once every four months. This scheme was launched on 24 February 2019.
How to take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana
To take advantage of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, it is mandatory for the farmer to have an Aadhaar card. Without Aadhar card, one cannot take advantage of this scheme. Also, to get an installment of Rs 2000, it is also necessary to have an account in the bank. Money is sent to the account through DBT. It is also necessary to link the bank account with the aadhaar. If any document is left to be submitted, then you can upload it online. If you have not applied for PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana yet, you can apply online through the government’s website.
