Former fast bowler Shane Bond will be the fourth coach of the New Zealand cricket team for the T20 World Cup to be held in the UAE. Just before that he will be with Mumbai Indians for the rest of the IPL season.
Bond will also be with the New Zealand team for the three-match T20I series against India after the World Cup.
New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said the team would benefit from Bond’s experience. “Shane has been with us before and understands us,” he said. He will be in UAE just before the World Cup and his experience will benefit the team.
Bond will be the bowling coach of Mumbai Indians for the rest of the IPL matches to be held in the UAE from September 19 to October 15.
