What is Academic Bank of Credit
Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) is a virtual store house that will record the data of each student. For this, universities and colleges will have to register in this scheme. After which the data of every student of these colleges and universities will be stored in the Academic Bank of Credit. In such a situation, if a student leaves his studies midway due to any reason, then he will be given a certificate, diploma or degree according to the time period of the respective course. For example, a student who passes the first year will be given a certificate, while the student who passes the second year will be given an advanced diploma and a bachelor’s degree after completing three years of course and four years of research with research. That is, even if studies are missed in the middle, then whatever time the student has given to his course, it will not be wasted, he will be credited certificate, diploma or degree according to the time period.
How Academic Bank of Credit will work
Academic Bank of Credit or ABC will act like a commercial bank and students will be its customers and ABC will provide many services to these students. In this, the academic credit of the students prepared on the basis of classwork and tutorials will be stored. It has been prepared on the lines of National Academic Depository. Students will have to open an academic bank account and each account holder will be provided with a unique ID and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). In the academic account of the students, credit will be given to the students by the Higher Education Institute for the courses they are pursuing. However, ABC will not accept any credit course documents directly from the students, the institute itself will have to deposit the credit course documents in the students account.
Students will be able to complete their studies
The ABC scheme has been introduced to make the new education policy flexible. In this scheme, students will be able to complete their studies according to their own. Not only this, if the old records of the students are deposited in the Academic Bank of Account, then he can start it again anytime after leaving his studies. That is, with the introduction of this scheme, students will also have the option of multiple entry and exit in the college. The special thing is that students will be able to design their degree accordingly. After studying in a college for one year, students can go to another college the next year.
Credit will be valid for seven years
The maximum shelf life of Academic Back of Credit is 7 years only. After that it will not get any benefit. However, if there are different rules in the institution, then students can get its benefit.
