Monthly Shivratri

Chaitra Amavasya
The following day, 31 March, is Chaitra Amavasya, the new moon day of the month. This day is also known as Mahalaya Amavasya and is a special day of remembrance for Hindus. It is believed that on this day, the ancestors come to visit and it is a day to honour them.
Chaitra Navratri
