Bihar School Reopening: Schools will open for students from class 1 to 8 from August 16, check here SOPs and guidelines

 

Schools will reopen for students of classes 1 to 8 in the state of Bihar from 16 August 2021. The state government has taken this decision in view of the decreasing cases of Kovid-19. For the reopening of schools, the guidelines and protocols issued by the government have been asked to be followed; it is mandatory for the students, parents, teachers and other stakeholders to follow the SOPs and guidelines.

Schools in Bihar will have to follow the necessary instructions for school buses and campuses given by the Patna District Education Administration. The state government has said that along with education, full care should be taken of the safety of the children.

Education Minister tweeted

Regarding the reopening of Bihar schools, Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary wrote in his tweet, “Schools from classes 1 to 8 will be opened from August 16. Keeping in mind the safety of the children, the school buses are being run by Patna District Education Administration. And necessary instructions have been given for the campus. Along with education, the safety of the children should be taken care of, this is our priority.”

 

 

Bihar government has issued these guidelines for bus and campus

    • The school administration will have to ensure sanitization of buses twice a day.
    • To ensure safety, ACs in buses will remain switched off, and windows will remain open for proper ventilation.
    • The students will have to go through the thermal screening process while boarding their respective buses.
    • Every bus should have sanitization facility to ensure entry and exit with proper safety.
    • Bus conductors and drivers will have to compulsorily wear masks.
    • Students are not to exchange their masks under any circumstances.
    • To create awareness among the students, the school administration will have to put up “No Spit” banner in the campus.
    • Children must bring a homemade lunch box. Outside shopkeepers should stay away from the school premises.
    • Students, teachers and staff will have to follow social distancing in the campus.

Apart from all these measures, the health department of the state will make special arrangements for the teachers and staff vaccination of educational institutions. Let us inform that earlier the schools in Bihar have reopened for the students of class 9 to 12 from August 7.
