Senior ED officer Rajeshwar Singh may join BJP soon, has done investigation against Congress leaders

 

New Delhi: Senior Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer Rajeshwar Singh is expected to join BJP soon. According to media reports, IPS officer Rajeshwar Singh is in constant talks with prominent BJP leaders.

Let us tell you, Rajeshwar Singh, popularly known as Encounter Specialist, has been involved in the investigation of high profile cases like Aircel-Maxis, 2G spectrum, coal scam, Commonwealth Games scam and AgustaWestland chopper scam. On the previous day, Rajeshwar’s sister Abha Singh shared a picture with her brother on Twitter. While sharing this picture, he informed that Rajeshwar has opted for voluntary retirement.

Abha Singh wrote, “Many congratulations to my brother Rajeshwar of ED for taking premature retirement to serve the country. The nation needs you.” Let us tell you, Rajeshwar Singh is currently working as Joint Director in Lucknow. In 2009, he joined the ED on deputation from Uttar Pradesh. However, it is not yet clear whether he will contest the upcoming assembly elections or not.

Let us tell you, Rajeshwar played an important role in the investigation and action against former Union Minister P Chidambaram and his son Kirti Chidambaram in the corruption case. Rajeshwar Singh, a resident of Sultanpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh, has a degree in law and human rights. In the year 2018, an inquiry was conducted against Rajeshwar but till now no official has found any evidence of any wrongdoing against him.
