The 2021 T20 World Cup is an upcoming international cricket tournament, scheduled to be held in India from October to November 2021. The tournament is the seventh edition of the T20 World Cup and will feature sixteen teams from around the world.

The 2021 T20 World Cup will be the first major international tournament to be hosted in India since the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is one of the most prominent players in the tournament, and he recently created history by becoming the highest wicket taker in T20 World Cup history.

Introduction to T20 World Cup 2021

The 2021 T20 World Cup is the seventh edition of the tournament and will feature sixteen teams from around the world. The tournament will be held in India from October to November 2021 and will be the first major international tournament to be hosted in India since the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.

The teams have been divided into four groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super 12s stage, while the bottom two teams will be eliminated from the tournament.

The Super 12s stage will feature six teams competing for the top four spots. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-finals will face off in the T20 World Cup final.

Shakib Al Hasan’s Historic Achievement

Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan is one of the most prominent players in the 2021 T20 World Cup. He recently created history by becoming the highest wicket taker in T20 World Cup history.

Shakib achieved this feat during the 2019 T20 World Cup in Australia, where he took a total of 26 wickets in 12 matches, surpassing the previous record of 24 wickets, which was held by Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis.

Shakib is the first player to take more than 25 wickets in the T20 World Cup, and his performance has been instrumental in Bangladesh’s success in the tournament.

Becoming the Highest Wicket Taker

Shakib has been a key member of the Bangladesh team since his debut in 2006. He has been a consistent performer in the T20 World Cup, and in 2019 he achieved a major milestone by becoming the highest wicket taker in T20 World Cup history.
