The company said that the distance from Quanta to Kanyakumari to Khardung La (Ladakh) has been covered in just 164 hours and 30 minutes (6.5 days) and with this this record has been recorded in the name of this electric bike in the Asia Book of Records. This bike journey was flagged off from Kanyakumari on September 13, 2021. This electric bike reached Khardung La (Khardung Pass) in Ladakh, covering a distance of 4011.9 km in 164 hours and 30 minutes, i.e. 6.5 days, on September 20, 2021. The company said that this record has been made without charging this electric bike. There is no need to charge the bike, as the battery swap technology has been given in it.

4,000 km without charge

During the journey, when the battery was discharged on the way, its empty battery was replaced with a charged battery, thus covering a distance of 4,000 km. The Quanta EV was launched in the Indian market in June last year at a price of Rs 99,000 (ex-showroom). The company claims that the design and engineering of this electric two-wheeler has been completely done in India, which makes it a Made-in-India product. A 3 kWh lithium-ion battery has been used in the bike. On full charge, this bike gives a range of 150 km. The range can be increased to 320 km by adding another battery to the bike. The company is also giving free charging stations to select customers who buy the bike.
