- The exam is conducted for the selection of Assistant Commandants in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
- The exam is conducted in three stages – written exam, physical test and medical test.
- The written exam consists of two papers – General Ability and Intelligence Test.
- The General Ability Test is of 250 marks and the Intelligence Test is of 200 marks.
- The physical test consists of a physical efficiency test, obstacle race and a medical test.
- Candidates must meet the age, educational qualification and physical standards as prescribed by the UPSC.
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in the written exam.
- The selection process is based on a merit list that is prepared after the written exam and physical test.
- The selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Commandants in the CAPF.
- The selected candidates will be given a salary of Rs. 56,100/- to Rs. 1,77,500/- per month.
