As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, major automakers are offering their latest battery-powered vehicles. Now Yamaha has also joined this list with its new electric scooter. Yamaha has introduced the EMF electric scooter in the Taiwan market, whose sales will start in a few days. The new EMF electric scooter is Yamaha’s second electric scooter after the EC-05 which was introduced globally in 2019.

The new Yamaha EMF is also the second electric vehicle to be developed in collaboration with Taiwanese battery and tech giant Gogoro. India’s largest two wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has also collaborated with Gogoro for its upcoming electric vehicles. The Yamaha EMF has been built on an entirely new design platform, which defines a new design language.

The scooter has been given a futuristic design with minimal front apron and vertically stacked twin pod headlight cluster. Key exterior features of the scooter include its afterburner-styled dual LED taillights, trendy rear view mirrors, digital instrument console, single piece seat and beefy tire profile. It has also been introduced in three color options including Dark Black, Dark Green and Light Blue.

Some of the key features of the scooter include some advanced connectivity features like last parking location, turn-by-turn navigation and fleet management system. In addition, it can be turned on / off using the NFC card. It also has a small storage space in the center of the floorboards.

The scooter is powered by a powerful electric motor that generates a maximum power of 10.30 bhp and a peak torque of 26 Nm. This scooter can accelerate from 0-50 kmph in just 3 seconds.

Yamaha EMF is a high speed electric scooter, so it can be easily driven on the highway as well. According to the information, this scooter is capable of running at a top speed of 80-100 kmph. The scooter has a disc brake of 200 mm at the front wheel and 190 mm at the rear.

With the beginning of the new year, many automobile companies have announced discounts and offers on their vehicles. Now Yamaha Motor India has also joined this list. Yamaha Motor India has announced special offers for January 2022 for certain models of its two-wheeler range. The company is offering special finance schemes and cash back offers on Yamaha’s 125 cc hybrid scooter model range, Yamaha FZ 15 model range, and Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 and Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 S models. All offers are valid till January 31, 2022.

Offers include low downpayment, low interest rate and cash back on certain models. Yamaha has also launched the fourth generation model of the R15 in the Indian market, the YZF-R15 V4, which is available for sale in India. However, there is no offer on this model.

Cashback of up to Rs.3,000 is being offered on Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid as well as Yamaha RayZR Street Rally 125 Fi Hybrid in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. These scooters are being offered in Northeast, Assam, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra with a cashback of Rs.2,500. A minimum interest of 7.99 percent is being offered on these scooters.

On the Yamaha FZ 15 model range, a minimum down payment of Rs 8,999 or an interest rate option of 9.49 per cent is being offered across India. The previous generation R15 models, which include the Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 and Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 S, are offered with a reduced down payment of Rs 19,999 or a minimum interest rate of 10.99 per cent, which is applicable across India. No offers have been announced for the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Yamaha MT-15 range.
