It is worth noting that Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra on Tuesday decided to pull out of the Commonwealth Games. Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra created history by winning a silver medal at the World Championships last week, but he suffered a groin injury during which he discussed it with his medical team and then decided to withdraw from the Birmingham Games. Neeraj also wrote an emotional post expressing grief over his decision and called it unfortunate for not being able to become the flag bearer of India.
